Many with Rett Syndrome develop an over-reliance to video and other media to maintain their self-regulation and sense of calm, often presenting as an “addiction”. This course will review the signs to watch out for and provide strategies and techniques to help all with Rett Syndrome overcome their dependence on television and media. Kate Ahern and Rett mom Maggie Wurm share the steps they recommend to overcome these media addictions and what works to provide improvement in quality of life for all involved!
